The Transport Wireless Rail 2016 was held in Chongqing during 26th -27th April, addressing the current challenges facing the Rail Wi-Fi industry. The conference was attended by heavy weight experts both local and overseas in rail transport and communications, providing their views from various perspectives on such hot topics as in-vehicle Wi-Fi, in-vehicle entertainment, rail Wi-Fi, and smart city construction. Seven industry prizes were specially set up by the conference committee to commend the enterprises with outstanding contribution to the industry. The award evaluation panel also included industry leading associations and enterprises, such as China Association of Metros, Wi-Fi Alliance, and China Telecommunication Technology Labs (CTTL). The “Outstanding Equipment Supplier Award” was granted exclusively to the Synertone Communication Corporation.

As the only industry event focusing on rail wireless network construction and metro and high-speed rail Wi-Fi development in Asia Pacific, Transport Wireless Rail aims to establish an international communication platform for rail transport and the wireless network industry between China and the world, to move forward the Wi-Fi coverage on metro and high speed railway, and to construct greater transport mobile internet ecosystem. The conference was supported by orgnizations such as the Wi-Fi Alliance, the Consulate General of Israel in Chengdu, and the Consulate General of Italy in Chongqing. Moreover, Marc Guigon，Senior Passenger Transport Advisor of International Union of Railways, and Keren Aslan，CFO of Israel Railways gave keynote speeches. The award-winning enterprises also include other well known companies, such as Huawei (the “Technology Innovation Award” winner) and H3C (the “Excellent Technology Innovation Award” winner). The conference is an inspiring event for the industry and with the aids of industry leading company such as Synertone, the development of rail Wi-Fi technology will undoubtedly be sped up.
